SOLD-1995 Mark 1 Ducati 916 Senna [SOLD]

  • SOLD-1995 Mark 1 Ducati 916 Senna

    Classic 916cc Super Sports.

This genuine Mark 1 Ducati 916 Senna has covered just 13906 kilometres (8640 miles), was registered on 25th April 1996, has had two owners, is a UK bike and is HPI clear.

As you can see this low mileage rare Ducati 916 Senna looks fantastic and is ready for you to insure, tax and ride (or just stare at and admire).  This, the original Senna model is number 164 of the 300 that were manufactured in 1995 and is one of just fifteen official UK assigned Senna mk1's .  It comes with the Senna bike cover, the frame coloured paddock stand, the standard exhaust along with the Termignoni exhausts, two ignition keys, the V5, the all clear HPI vehicle check report, the owner handbooks and the service history booklet.

The bike was manufactured in 1995 and registered from new by Ron Parkinson Ducati in Colchester in April 1996.  It was then ridden until March 1999 when it was then parked up until 2014.  In 2014 it was brought out of hibernation and given its first ever MOT.

The service history reads as follows, 20/04/96 pdi, 30/04/96 1st service @ 1009 km, 02/10/96 2nd service @ 5019 km, 25/09/97 3rd service @ 10008 km.  It was then ridden until its third birthday (13834 km) when it was then parked up until 2003.  On 27/09/03 it had its 4th service @ 13834 km including belts but not ridden and then once again parked up until 2014.  On 01/10/14 @ 13906 km it had its first and only MOT and in Feb 2015 its 5th service @ 13906 km which included timing belts, filters, fluids, battery and a pair of Diablo Rossa Corsa's.  As you have read this Ducati has covered just 73 km (45 miles) in the past 16 years and deserves to be ridden as you very rarely see a Senna 916 on the road.

The colour scheme of this bike, the original Senna 916 mark 1 (Grigio Scuro/Dark Grey fairing uppers & seat unit with red Senna S along with Senna name, black lowers with red wheels) was chosen by Ayrton Senna himself during his visit to the Ducati factory in 1994.  This was just a few weeks before his last Formula One race in Imola, Italy.  The later colour schemes of the 1997 mark 2 (silver) and 1998 mark 3 (black) were designed by Ducati in close agreement with the Senna Foundation and not by Ayrton Senna himself.

This is a rare and depreciation proof Ducati which due to its age, mileage and Senna connection will only increase in value and is a sound investment.
